For Educators

Here at Prompt, we know our app works as a wonderful teaching aid for students—they’re the ones learning all those facts and seeing their knowledge grow, bit by bit.

We also know that Prompt is of great value to parents, who get to see their children progress with their learning and know the child’s smartphone is being put to good use.

But it’s teachers we want to talk about here, because they, too, can gain hugely from Prompt’s power to lock facts into students’ brains.

Factual information, there for good

Prompt helps students remember facts. So, while it won’t mean they can suddenly miraculously answer complicated exam questions correctly, it’s highly useful in developing the knowledge base which they can then learn to apply

We think this is beneficial to most lessons taught at Key Stages 3 and 4 (Years 7 to 11) and will certainly be highly useful if you’re teaching GCSE or iGCSE subjects.

So, for example, say you’re teaching Chemistry, and you need your pupils to understand electrolysis, it’ll certainly be a lot easier if they know a cathode from a cation. Or as a history teacher, would you prefer your students know Cecil from Dudley, or the Nuremberg Rallies from the Nuremberg Trials?

This is the sort of information we’re targeting with Prompt—the facts and figures. With this factual information lodged in your students’ brains, you can focus more on explaining how to apply this material and lead your students to higher grades.

Prompt has been developed in relation to the UK’s educational curriculum, with the help of UK teachers. Our modules cover the key topics in sufficient depth to address most major examination boards (AQA, OCR, Pearson Edexcel and WJEC Eduqas).

The revision app
for exam prep

There’s so much to remember for GCSEs—it can certainly feel overwhelming for pupils who are studying nine or ten subjects. While some subjects don’t require much in the way of “cramming”, others are extremely information heavy. And as teachers, of course, you want your pupils to do well.

Prompt works as an effective revision app, providing students with up to 50 opportunities per day to learn new nuggets of information. This makes them much more likely to assimilate knowledge when it comes to that all-important exam prep.

And the result? A higher exam result that both you and they can be proud of!
